Rose Eden Cottages is family owned and operated: Hank and Charlene, are life-long natives of Bar Harbor. Both Hank and Charlene spent more than twenty years each with their previous employers and had come to the point where they were ready to try something different. The push from their daughter Kelly may have been just the encouragement that was needed to convince them to take on this new adventure, and in May of 2002 they purchased Rose Eden Cottages.

The first winter was spent remodeling and decorating cottages 1 through 6. Then, plans began for further expansion, which we started in Winter of 2004-2005 and finished in Summer 2005. Two brand new cottages were completed to accommodate the larger families that vacation with us. These cottages are set further into the wooded area, feature a full kitchen, living area, a gas fireplace, and sleep up to seven guests each.
